Assistant Manager Total Reward

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of Human Resources Division, Total Rewards Department.  He/She will:

  • Support the development and implementation of an effective reward strategy which represents an appropriate return on investment and successfully attracts, retains and motivates the right people for the business.
  • Assist on Reward team projects including policy development and new process implementation and to provide advice and guidance to the HR community as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to key reward initiatives including salary review processes, market benchmarking, functional remuneration and incentive schemes and policy and processes. 
  • Proactively keep up-to-date with related People/HR and business issues and initiatives that may impact on the reward strategy and ensure relevant information is shared within the immediate team as appropriate. 
  • Ensure that high quality market analysis based on valid benchmark material regarding the total reward package is available to Senior Management as required on the overall market position of company pay. 
  • Support Head of Reward in all Pay/Bonus reviews; providing data reports and managing the data input/production requirements. 
  • Complete annual salary surveys, liaising with the reward team, HR and the business to ensure timely completion and return.
  • Prepare job evaluations using the appropriate job evaluation system (Hay/Towers Perrin) as required.
  • Develop and provide advice on incentive compensation plans. 
  • Keep abreast of developments in the external compensation market amongst our competitors through reading, attendance at compensation Forums and participation in ad hoc surveys. 
  • Build an effective network with key contacts inside and outside the company.
  • Share knowledge and best practice with external network of contacts, where appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree holders preferably in HR / Business from accredited university.
  • Professional certification and accreditation in Rewards will be a plus.
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience, preferrably in MNCs
  • Candidates currently in global or regional C&B teams are preferred
  • Experienced leading and implementing annual performance management, salary & bonus reviews
  • Able to demonstrate experience of cost and benefit analysis. 
  • Experience of operating with highly confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
